What is Activator?

Activator is a method and technique that is very comforting for patients who have never had a chiropractic adjustment and are fearful because of something they have been told about the manual adjustment. This treatment incorporates an accurate spinal analysis and adjustment that is on target, precise, and painless. There is no twisting or turning, popping or cracking noises and yet it is highly effective.

The low-force program has been safely used for nearly 40 years to benefit people with a wide range of health problems-without drugs or surgery.

How do I know I need a chiropractic adjustment?

Generally a person can not tell whether or not they need an adjustment.  Subluxation in your spine can hurt but often they are painless.  Since subluxations often lie just under the surface they can go unnoticed eventually causing pain. This explains why people will may doing basic physical activity (e.g. bending down to pick something up) and 'all of a sudden' their back goes 'out' or they experience sudden back ache or neck pain. Pain is an indicator that you have a problem and in itself is not the actual problem.

What is Diversified?

Diversified is the technique that generally results in the popping sound as the chiropractor makes a manual adjustment to correct misaligned or subluxated spinal segments of the neck or back, and is one of the most widely used forms of manipulation in the chiropractic field. The focus is on restoration to normal biomechanical function, and correction of subluxation. In addition, Diversified methods have been developed to adjust extremity joints, allowing for beneficial applications in treating sports injuries and other injuries.

A subluxation is when one of the 24 vertebra are misaligned. This causes alteration of nerve function and interference to the transmission of mental impulses, resulting in a lessening of the body’s innate ability to express its maximum health potential.

What is Cold Laser Therapy?

Cold Laser is a painless, sterile, non-invasive, drug-free treatment which is used to treat a variety of pain syndromes, wounds, injuries, fractures, neurological conditions and pathologies. What are the benefits of Massage Therapy?

Many of today's health problems can benefit from massage therapy because the manipulation of soft tissues affects so many of our bodily systems--muscular, nervous, circulatory and lymphatic (immune). Massage therapy's aims are to restore physical function, alleviate pain, relax tight and tense muscles, improve circulation and recovery time, reduce stress, an increase the sense of well-being.

Can Massage Therapy aid in Stress Reduction?

Prolonged periods of stress can subconsciously aggravate, or even cause, such problems as heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, memory loss and decreased immune function. Massage therapy is one of the best antidotes for stress. It boosts the body's immune system, which can become compromised from extended periods of stress. Tension can build up in the muscles, causing a decrease in circulation and nutrient delivery to tissues. Manipulation of the soft tissue decreases muscular tension, increases removal of metabolic waste and promotes nutrient delivery to healing tissue.

With a therapeutic massage, stress can be significantly reduced. This, in turn, will increase energy, improve your outlook on life, and in the process boost your immune system function.

Why Do I Need X-Rays?

X-rays are safe and provide insightful information on patients.  They are an effective way to view the structure and general condition of the spine. They can reveal spinal areas under high stress and expose areas of degenerative change. This can often provide essential information which when combined with historical and examination findings can allow for a more accurate spinal analysis and effective treatment plan.
